The EHCF 1-year anniversary, took to the street of Uyo, Akwa Ibom Nigeria, to donate relief items to homeless children.
The event was an outreach program for street children in the Uyo metropolis to mark one year anniversary of the EHCF. The event was sponsored by Erina Help and Care Foundation and facilitated by Save The Children Campaign (STCC). Street Children in four different locations benefitted from the exercise and also the event attracted personalities within and outside the state.
During the exercise, about six children were identified to benefit from further assistance ranging from educational sponsorship and accommodation by the foundation. The children were very happy and excited to benefit from the gesture.
In one of the project locations, the head teacher of the STCC Community School thanked the founder and members of Erina Help and Care Foundation for the gift items and prayed for God’s blessings and protection upon the foundation. She said that STCC Community School is a tuition-free school for the less privileged and needy children in the community.
Some of the items donated ranged from bathing and washing soup, beverages, shoes, and clothes.
The greatest joy we can derive is by doing something significant for someone who cannot pay us back. Our reward then comes from God who uses our generosity as a tool to provide us with even things money cannot buy.
