One-Day Free Medical Outreach in Honor of Archbishop Cletus Bassey's 62nd Birthday Celebration

In commemoration of Archbishop Cletus Bassey’s 62nd birthday celebration, a one-day free medical outreach was organized to provide essential healthcare services to the community. The event aimed to promote health awareness and offer screening for prevalent health conditions, including diabetes, hypertension, and eye problems. The outreach was conducted at Petalice Medical Center located at 5/7 Marickson Way off Ernest Bassey Street off Oron Road, Uyo, Nigeria.

Services Provided:

  1. Screening for Diabetes: Certified medical professionals conducted screenings to assess blood sugar levels and identify individuals at risk or living with diabetes.
  2. Screening for Hypertension: Blood pressure checks were performed to detect hypertension and provide guidance on managing blood pressure effectively.
  3. Eye Problems Screening: Qualified ophthalmologists conducted examinations to detect common eye conditions and provide recommendations for further treatment if necessary.

Participant Engagement: The outreach had 138 participants from the local community who availed themselves of the free medical services offered. Participants ranged from individuals seeking routine check-ups to those with specific health concerns.

Outcome: The one-day free medical outreach in honor of Archbishop Cletus Bassey’s our patron birthday celebration proved to be highly beneficial for the community. By providing access to essential healthcare services, the event contributed to early detection and prevention of health conditions, ultimately promoting overall well-being. Participants expressed gratitude for the opportunity to receive quality medical care free of charge, highlighting the positive impact of such initiatives on underserved populations.

Empowering the Erina Help and Care Girls Technology Knowledge for life conference

Empower 200 girls with ICT education and skills Support start-up for female entrepreneurs in ICT and technology. Vulnerable and unemployed young women. Budget $250,000 - $1000 per person.
